Karen Goraleski

Karen Goraleski is Vice President, Public Health Partnerships at Research!America, a 501 (c)(3), membership-supported public education and advocacy alliance located in Alexandria, Virginia. This alliance of institutions, organizations and businesses represents the voices of 125 million Americans who want research to improve health to be a much higher national priority. Research!America's public opinion surveys, advocacy-based programs and publications reach decision makers with messages that support a strong and vibrant research enterprise. Ms. Goraleski oversees Research!America's global health research advocacy efforts which includes the Paul G. Rogers Society for Global Health Research, named for the late Honorable Paul G. Rogers, chair emeritus of Research!America, former Congressman and champion for health. Through a selective process, the Society identifies and works with highly respected scientists known as Ambassadors. These Ambassadors engage in targeted outreach to policy leaders and other decision makers on the need for increased US investment in global health research. Ms. Goraleski received a Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Xavier University in Chicago.
