Philip Hosbach currently holds the position of Vice President of Immunization Policy and Government Relations at sanofi pasteur. His responsibilities include oversight of public policy and immunization policy development. He is currently coordinating sanofi pasteur’s global efforts in responding to the H1N1 pandemic. He is a graduate of Lafayette College (1984) and began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with American Home Products. Mr. Hosbach joined sanofi pasteur in 1987 was instrumental in building the clinical research department. During that time, he contributed to the development and licensure of seven vaccines. In 1997, Mr. Hosbach took a position in the commercial operations area of sanofi pasteur where he led Public Health Sales and Marketing, Communications, New Product Development and Business Intelligence. He has been a member of the IOM’s Forum on Microbial Threats since 2005 and has been a Steering Committee member on the Influenza Summit since 2001. Mr. Hosbach has also serves on the Board of Directors for Pocono Medical Center.
