Robert Honigberg, MD, MBA, is a healthcare executive with broad experience in the fields of medical devices, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals. His areas of expertise focus on technology innovation, clinical and economic trials, and health policy. He is currently a member of the Steering Committee for the Aspen Health Stewardship Project. Dr. Honigberg was the Chief Medical Officer for GE Healthcare, a $17 billion unit of the General Electric Company. He served for seven years as Vice President of Worldwide Medical Affairs at Ethicon Endo-Surgery. His pharmaceutical experience includes work at Ortho Biotech (Johnson & Johnson) and Schering-Plough Corporation. Dr. Honigberg undertook his surgery training at Montefiore Hospital and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School, his MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Business, and his bachelor’s in economics from Duke University.
