Michael J. Klag, MD, MPH is Dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the first and largest independent graduate school of public health in the world. He is a world-renowned kidney disease epidemiologist whose research focuses on the prevention and treatment of kidney disease, hypertension and cardiovascular disease. He is the author of over 200 publications and Editor-in-Chief of the Johns Hopkins Family Health Book. He serves as an adviser and consultant to the National Institutes of Health, National Kidney Foundation, the American Society of Nephrology and numerous other organizations. Dr. Klag received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his master’s of public health degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health.
