Robert Blancato is President of Matz, Blancato & Associates, Inc., a firm integrating public relations, government affairs and advocacy services. Previously, he spent 16 years as a Chief of Staff to a Member of Congress and 11 years as the Staff Director of the House Select Committee on Aging Subcommittee on Human Services. In 1993 he was appointed by President Clinton to be the Executive Director of the White House Conference on Aging held in1995. In 2004 Bob was appointed by Rep. Nancy Pelosi to be on the Policy Committee for the 2005 White House Conference on Aging. Mr Blancato has been on numerous boards including the American Society on Aging, Generations United, and the Leadership Council of the National Council on Aging. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs. Recently he was elected Chairman of the Commonwealth Council for his home state of Virginia. Mr. Blancato holds a bachelor’s from Georgetown University and a Masters from American University
