Laurie Rubiner is Vice President for Public Policy for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Ms. Rubiner has more than 20 years of experience in the national public policy arena, serving in senior positions for both Republicans and Democrats in the US Senate. She served as legislative director for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, and was responsible for the development and management of the senator’s legislative and policy agenda. For nine years she was a legislative assistant to the late Senator John Chafee and handled issues related to health care, women, poverty, and children. Previously she was director of the Health Care Program at the New America Foundation, a nonpartisan think tank; vice president for public policy at the National Partnership for Women & Families; and executive director of Malaria No More. Ms. Rubiner received a bachelor’s from Barnard College and JD from the Georgetown University Law Center
