JAMES EHRLICH, MD is the Chief Medical Officer of Atherotech, a leading cardiodiagnostic company based in Birmingham, AL. In 1996, he founded and became the medical director of Colorado Heart and Body Imaging in Denver, two preventive medical imaging facilities using electron beam tomography and other modalities for the early detection of coronary and vascular disease, sleep apnea, osteoporosis and some cancers. Dr. Ehrlich is a director of the Society of Atherosclerosis Imaging, co-founder of the Society of Cardiovascular CT, and president of the Society for Responsible Preventive Imaging. He is routinely profiled in the Denver Business Journal¹s ³Who¹s Who in Health Care² and gives numerous presentations to community groups interested in preventive health. Dr. Ehrlich is head of the medical advisory board of U.S. Preventive Medicine and is on the boards of Premier Micronutrient Corporation and the Partnership for a Healthy America. He is on the emeritus staff of Rose Medical Center in Denver, a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (endocrinology) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the George Washington University Medical Center. He received his medical degree with honors from Boston University and specialized in anesthesiology.
